Become a Malopolska Entrepreneur II - MARR’s own project

We have acquired more millions for would-be entrepreneurs.

We unleash entrepreneurship potential Over 3,500 people submitted applications for a subsidy in the first edition of the Become a Malopolska Entrepreneur. We chose 540 of the best projects, whose authors will take part in training and will receive specialist counselling. We have co-financed the establishment of 82 enterprises so far, and more project authors are waiting for an evaluation of their plans.

Due to the fact that the project enjoyed immense interest, we decided to acquire more subsidies for Malopolska entrepreneurs. Our Project has been evaluated as the  best of all those submitted to the Voivodeship Employment Agency in Kraków: see more This is why another recruitment period is starting as soon as March 2010.

As part of the Become a Malopolska Entrepreneur II project:

  • 660 people will participate in training and take advantage of MARR counselling services,
  • 440 people will receive grants of up to PLN 40,000,
  • For 6 months, 308 persons will be receiving a monthly payment of PLN 800 and specialist counselling support allowing for effective enterprise management.

This time we go for innovativeness In realising the project, on the one hand we want to support the areas in which it is most difficult to start your own business, and on the other hand we wish to facilitate the creation of innovative micro-enterprises. This is why the second edition of the Project will see each of the Malopolska poviats (districts) have 2 recruitment periods, in which only the inhabitants and/or persons learning or working in the area of the poviat will be allowed to take part. Additionally, only innovative business ideas will be supported in the City of Kraków.

The “Become a Malopolska Entrepreneur” project (OP HC, measure 6.2) is realised by MARR in cooperation with eight institutions:

Nowy Sącz Commercial Chamber; the “Centre for Entrepreneurship and Development” Self-government Association in Sucha Beskidzka; Tarnów Regional Development Agency; the Foundation in Support of Local Democracy of the Małopolska Institute of Local Government and Administration; Western Malopolska Development Agency; Rabka Region Development Foundation; Western Malopolska Business Centre; Myślenice Business Development Agency

The project is co-financed from European Union funds within the Operational Programme Human Capital 2007–2013, Priority 6 “Job market open to all”, Measure 6.2 “Support for and promotion of entrepreneurship and self-employment”.
