Erbil International Fair Kurdistan

The business mission in Kurdistan and participation in the Erbil International Fair 2009 by representatives of the Malopolska Regional Development Agency were elements of the Malopolska Export Offer Promotion at the international level project realisation.
The Malopolska stand was a meeting place for Polish enterprises already established in Kurdistan: CEZEBED from Wrocław and ARLAN from Toruń.
On the 13th of November, a conference on the perspectives and possibilities of cooperation between Poland and Kurdistan took place. Basic information about Poland and the region and the Business in Malopolska project, as well as possibilities of cooperation between Poland and Kurdistan were presented.
The Kurdish market is an interesting area of operation for various Polish enterprises. Currently, there are German, French, English, Turkish, Iranian, Chinese and Iraqi enterprises operating there. Key sectors include: trade, construction, natural resources research, power industry and environmental protection. Kurdistan may also be considered a safe area, with existing telecommunication, banking, and transport infrastructure.
Actions in Kurdistan may be followed by operations in the whole of Iraq, as well as engagement in strategic branches of economy in this region.
