Best practices in the area of information meetings and training sessions about entrepreneurship
12.05.2011
Since 15 September 2009, the Malopolska Regional Development Agency has been realising a mobility project in the Leonardo da Vinci Programme.
This project is addressed to MARR employees dealing with the realisation of tasks connected with the implementation of aid programmes, running training and informational meetings and counselling services for entrepreneurs, activation of people in the job market and servicing investors in the region.
There are 15 participants from 6 EU countries: Austria, Great Britain, Italy, Latvia, Portugal and Spain. In order to optimise project results, institutions of various profiles and operation areas have been selected – from research institutes, through business-surrounding institutions, to centres offering training and preparing for new jobs. A common feature of the hosting institutions is the pro-development approach to the idea of continuing education and directing the support of innovative enterprises from the SME sector.
The project will be realised between 15.09.2009 and 28.02.2011. A total of 45 persons (15 three-person teams) will participate in the project. Between April and July 2010, the participants will pay two-week visits to their partners.
As part of the preparation process for the study visits, all project participants will undergo language and target culture training.
The project is the effect of the “Methods of entrepreneurship development in the region” project ex post evaluation and a mid-term evaluation of the “Best practices in vocational needs analysis for SMEs” partner project currently realised by the MARR. The projects revealed the need of an in-depth analysis of strategic areas in the system of supporting entrepreneurship – education (continual education – training and informational meetings): in the aspect of experience exchange and implementation of tools and methods of running training on the one hand, and in terms of preparing and implementing a comprehensive training offer that would be an answer to real, diagnosed problems of entrepreneurs and the unemployed wishing to start their own business on the other.
The tasks of the participants will include the transfer of the acquired knowledge and skills in the above areas to MARR representatives, who will not participate in the project directly. As a result, MARR employees will be well prepared for transferring the acquired knowledge and skills during training for enterprises and persons wishing to start their own business, as well as regional business-surrounding institutions.
Furthermore, a publication on experiences of the exchanges and preparing a training offer and tools and methods of running training and informational meetings for entrepreneurs and persons wishing to start their own business will be prepared.
This project is financed from the funds of the “Lifelong Learning” Leonardo da Vinci programme.
