Support for R&D investments in enterprises

Stimulating R&D activity of enterprises and support in terms of industrial design.

For what: development of current or planned research and development activity by the Applicant, as long as he has incurred expenses in terms of R&D (in the 12 months preceding the application), implementation of projects in terms of industrial and utility design (the project must end before design production starts)

For whom: micro, small, medium and large enterprises (excluding last recruitment)

When: next application calls will be announced in 2010

Intensity of support in the Malopolska voivodeship: investment expenses: for a micro or small entrepreneur – 70% of expenses qualified as supportable; for a medium entrepreneur – 60% of expenses qualified as supportable; for an entrepreneur other than micro, small or medium – 50% of expenses qualified as supportable; counselling expenses: only for SMEs – 50% of expenses qualified as supportable; specialist training expenses: for a micro or small entrepreneur – 45% of expenses qualified as supportable; for a medium entrepreneur – 35% of expenses qualified as supportable; for an entrepreneur other than micro, small or medium – 25% of expenses qualified as supportable

Project value and amount of support: minimum value of eligible costs in the investment part: PLN 400,000; for projects in R&D development the maximum amount of eligible costs in the investment part is PLN 2 million; maximum project value: EUR 50 million; amount of financing in terms of design: investment part: PLN 21 million, training part: PLN 1 million, counselling part: PLN 600,000; maximum financing in terms of increasing R&D potential: investment part of a project: PLN 1.4 million, training part: PLN 100,000, counselling part: PLN 100,000

In terms of Measure 4.2, applications should be submitted directly to the seat of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development in Warsaw.

Operational Programme Innovative Economy 2007–2013 is aimed at supporting broadly understood innovativeness. Intervention under OP IE will cover both direct support for enterprises, business-surrounding institutions and scientific entities offering high quality services to enterprises and systemic support ensuring the development of the institutional environment of innovative enterprises. Support under OP IE is granted regardless of the sector it is related to (bearing in mind the limitations resulting from the allowable scope of intervention of the ERDF and regulations on public aid). Because of that it complements the actions provided for in 16 Regional Operational Programmes and other national programmes included in the National Cohesion Strategy.
