Operational Programme Innovative Economy 2007–2013 is aimed at supporting broadly understood innovativeness. Intervention under OP IE will cover both direct support for enterprises, business-surrounding institutions and scientific entities offering high quality services to enterprises and systemic support ensuring the development of the institutional environment of innovative enterprises. Support under OP IE is granted regardless of the sector it is related to (bearing in mind the limitations resulting from the allowable scope of intervention of the ERDF and regulations on public aid). Because of that it complements the actions provided for in 16 Regional Operational Programmes and other national programmes included in the National Cohesion Strategy.
